So.. pada tahun 1824, 11 tahun selepas Perjanjian pertama.... British sudah mula greedy.. lalu mengemukakan perjanjian ke-dua :

But, kalau dorang nak relinquish tanah, hak dan kuasa dorang daripada Singapore, British bagi lagi banyak.. bayar lump sump

".. 'jika' Sultan dan Temenggung.. ingin berpindah.. British akan memberi pampasan 20,000 + 15,000 Pound.. sebagai timbalbalik.. Sultan dan Temenggung DAN KETURUNANNYA TIDAK BOLEH MENUNTUT ape-ape, yang ada ditanah/kebun/dusun/sungai dan segala macam hartabenda yang ditinggalkan di Singapura"

BOTH OF THEM NOT SIGN THIS AGREEMENT UNTIL 4H MONTH.. 

Sebab : British MELAMBATKAN pembayaran "Gaji" Temenggung dan Sultan.. memaksa dorang sign agreement ni.. 

Kebanyakan orang rasa.. dorang sangat 'fragile' isn't it????? x bayar gaji terus sign..

• Orang-orang Temenggung merupakan penduduk asal Singapore.. lebih kurang 150 orang.. kebanyakan Orang Laut

PENJAHAT SEBENAR DIKENAL PASTI 

Bukan Raffles yang wrestled Singapore daripada Temenggong... but William Farquhar dan balacinye John Crawford...

These 2 culprits ni dilantik sebab Stamford Raffles balik Britain. So, perjanjian itu dibuat tanpa pengetahuan Raffles yang menghormati perjanjian dengan Raja-Raja Melayu. 

Perjanjian pertama 1819 di sign oleh Raffles.. while perjanjian kedua pulak 1824 oleh Crawford.. ini kerja dorang berdua.. sebab:

Yes.. William Farquhar PERNAH ditikam oleh orang-orang Temenggung.. sejak tu (Peristiwa ni terjadik pada tahun 1823) dia amat anti dengan orang-orang Temenggung.. 

So.. in 1824.. x sampai setahun lepas kejadian.. dia buat perjanjian itu utk secara halus menghalau orang-orang Melayu dari Singapore.

While Temenggung pulak bengong.. dia dah tau Farquhar tak suke.. makin dia tunjuk keras kepala against Farquhar :

Bukan Temenggung jer.. Stamford Raffles pun bengang dengan Farquhar bila dia kembali ke Singapore pada tahun 1822 :

Daripada sini lah.. kisah 'tergadainya' Muar dan Kesang.. heavily indebted, some inherited daripada bapanya Sultan Hussein, pada tahun 1855, apabila Sultan Ali relinquish dia punye right over Johore in 1855.. dan akhirnya Kesang pada tahun 1877.. 

Now.. daripada 'negeri' yang besar seciput.. atas urus tadbir yang bijak dan licik dalam menangani British.. Temenggung terus dapat negeri yang besar gedabak.. Johore 1 - Singapore 1

Sekarang.. :

Johore.. 1855.. daripada tiny state yang sebesar Kg. Baru KL, wrestled state land sebesar Hollywood..

1862... :

Pahang (Dibawah Tun Mutahir) menyerahkan sebahagian negeri Pahang.. daripada Utara Sg. Sedeli, hingga ke Selatan Sg. Endau kepada Johor = Dengan syarat.. Johor membantunya dalam Perang Bendahara melawan Tun Ahmad..

Anyway.. daerah Sedeli, Mersing dan Endau diserahkan kepada Sultan Abu Bakar sebab - Sultan Abu Bakar mengahwinkan anaknye.. sebagai hadiah mas kawin lah kirenye.. utk menyedapkan hati rakyat Pahang..

TAPI... Tun Mutahir kalah perang.. so.. another perjanjian dibuat antara pemenang Perang Bendahara (Tun Ahmad).. dengan Sultan Abu Bakar :

Johor mengembalikan Tioman kepada Pahang.. while ceded the rest seperti perjanjian asal dengan Tun Mutahir.. now.. :

Sedeli, Mersing dan Endau jadik tanah jajahan Johor.

Let's go back macamana Sultan Abu Bakar mengenakan British.. untuk membalas 'permainan' British pada tahun 1824 dulu tuu..


JOHORE'S RETALIATION IN 1862

Hampir 40 tahun Johor kehilangan 'hak' atas Telok Blangah.. Sultan Abu Bakar come up with ingenious way to counter British..

British memerlukan tanah yang lebih luas tidak jauh dari Telok Blangah, which happened to be tanah Temenggong.. British direly in needs of those land utk bina Station Master.. so.. Sultan Abu Bakar bargained something... dengan Perjanjian 1824..

Perjanjian 1824.. TERBATAL.. dan Telok Blangah kekal sebagai tanah Johor.

Due to what reason??? agak misteri buat aku.. sampai sekarang aku tak tau kenapa British buat keputusan yang merugikan diri dorang sendiri...

Sultan Abu Bakar beli 64 acre tanah di Tanglin.. pada tahun 1862.. but only developed it in 1890 dengan membina Istana Tyersall.
